6 ways to gift yourself confidence
How to feel it in your bones
Hello wonderful people.
Definition:
Confidence isn’t about knowing you will succeed. Confidence is knowing that you’ll be okay no matter what happens.
You have confidence when it comes to certain skills, not general confidence. You may be confident with golfing, but not with fishing. You may be confident with your job, but not with riding a motorcycle.
Confidence is situational. No matter how good you are at a skill, if you’re in a new environment or around new people, your confidence in that skills can waver.
Your confidence level can fluctuate from day to day. It’s totally natural and it doesn’t mean anything about you.

Note:
Some of these actions will be contradictory. That’s ok. Take what works for you.
6 Actions to gift yourself:
Ann Cuddy - change into a power pose for 2 minutes. Make your body into a Y-shape - arms up into the air, like you’ve just won a race.
Shaan Puri - lean in to the adventure. One adventure after another, confidence will start to set in. Force yourself out of your comfort zone.
Alex Hormozi - Don’t build confidence, build evidence. When you feel like you need to be confident in a particular moment, turn your attention to what you need to do so you can add it to a pile of evidence for yourself. Write down your wins and refer back to it often.
Aliénor Hunter - Make a rule for yourself to ask a question, to anyone, as often as possible. In a lecture/classroom, to someone for directions, or in a meeting. Get used to speaking.
Derek Sivers - give the audience (*replace with manager, boss, teacher, mentor, team etc..) what they came for. This isn’t about you, it’s about them. If you need to do a presentation, remember that the audience are there to learn something new. They don’t care whether it’s by you or someone else. So perform like it’s the ‘performer-you’ not the ‘real-you’.
Tim Ferriss - Prepare by reducing as many unknown variables as possible. Know what station you’re going to, what you’re going to wear, where the exits are, what the weather is like, how big the stage is, what microphone you’ll be using, where the bathrooms are etc..

Weather you come from a council estate or a country estate, your success will be determined by your own confidence and fortitude.
